Liveflow review 2026

Real-time financial reporting and analytics platform

The analyst verdict

STRONG for the right buyer; fragile for scale. LiveFlow is a legitimately well-built product serving a real market gap—the millions of small businesses that need consolidation but can't justify a $50K+ platform and 6-month implementation. The Series A funding ($13.5M in 2024 from Valar), ex-Revolut pedigree, and growing customer base (est. 500–1,000) suggest execution competence and durable unit economics. For a business matching the ICP (Sheets shop, QuickBooks, <$50M revenue, multiple entities), the value creation is real: automation of repetitive reconciliation work, faster month-end close, and enabling of ad hoc analysis that was previously impossible. The team understands their customer (accountants, office managers running consolidation in a spreadsheet) and builds product accordingly. However, LiveFlow's path to scale is constrained. The company cannot move upmarket without abandoning its Google Sheets architecture—and moving upmarket is where software companies grow to $100M+ revenue. If the founders want to build a $500M+ company, they need to either (1) expand horizontally into adjacent SMB verticals (e.g., non-profit consolidation, franchise accounting), (2) build a traditional enterprise product on top of the connector layer (unlikely—brand bifurcation is messy), or (3) get acquired by a larger consolidation or FP&A platform. The realistic outcome is acquisition in the $150–$400M range (to Planful, Vena, Certent, or a Big 4) in the next 3–5 years. Until then, it is a solid, low-risk vendor for its niche. For buyers outside the niche (enterprises, Excel shops, non-QuickBooks users), do not consider.[26]

Fit signals

Pick Liveflow when

  • You are an accounting firm managing consolidation for 15+ SMB clients.: LiveFlow turns a billable service (manual consolidation and board pack generation) into a 20-minute software deployment per client. You can white-label, bundle it with your QuickBooks consulting, and upsell it as "Consolidation Automation." Margin expansion is immediate. This is the #1 use case and a land-and-expand engine for LiveFlow's growth.
  • You are a multi-entity business ($5M–$50M revenue) with 5–30 entities and currently closing the month in Sheets.: Your consolidation close takes 2–3 weeks; LiveFlow gets you to 3–5 days. You have no plans to buy Planful or Prophix (they are too expensive, too complex, and too slow to deploy). LiveFlow is a direct replacement for your current process, not a platform upgrade.
  • You are a PE-backed or VC-backed portfolio company.: Your sponsor wants better visibility into subsidiary performance and faster reporting to the LP base. You need consolidated financials, not planning. LiveFlow does this in weeks at a fraction of the cost of a full FP&A platform. Bonus: You can deploy the same tool across your entire portfolio in parallel.
  • You are running a franchise network or multi-location business.: Each location has its own QuickBooks Online instance and GL. You need a consolidated P&L and variance analysis by location. LiveFlow is purpose-built for this exact scenario (multiple entities, same ERP, simple consolidation logic). The alternative is hiring an accountant to do manual consolidation; LiveFlow is 10x cheaper.
  • You are a non-profit or NGO with multiple programs/chapters.: Similar to the multi-entity business case, but with program-based, rather than legal-entity-based, consolidation. LiveFlow can be configured to consolidate by program code or cost center instead of entity.

Look elsewhere when

  • You are primarily an Excel shop, and your stakeholders are deeply wedded to Excel workflows.: LiveFlow is Google Sheets only. If your CFO demands Excel integration or your entire finance team uses Excel exclusively, you will face adoption friction. (Note: This is changing slightly—there is some discussion of a limited Excel connector, but it is not live as of Feb 2026.)
  • You have a complex multi-ERP environment.: If you run QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, and SAP in parallel, LiveFlow's native integrations (QB, Xero only) will require custom connector work. The implementation becomes a consulting project, not a software purchase. You are better served by Vena, Planful, or custom ETL.
  • You need advanced FP&A planning (driver-based forecasting, sensitivity analysis, scenario modeling).: LiveFlow does consolidation and basic reporting. If you need to model "What if revenue grows 15% and COGS increases 200 bps?", you will outgrow LiveFlow within 12 months. Buy Planful, Cube, or Datarails instead.
  • You are an enterprise with 200+ entities, global statutory reporting, and strict close controls.: LiveFlow is designed for the long tail of small businesses. The company does not have customers with 200 entities or the product sophistication (audit trail, RBAC, statutory variance) to manage enterprise close complexity. You need Vena, Wdesk, or Planful.
  • You are not using QuickBooks Online or Xero.: LiveFlow's value is in the tight QB/Xero integration. If you are on SAP, NetSuite, or any other ERP without native integration, LiveFlow is just a generic Sheets tool, and you can accomplish the same thing with Zapier + Sheets formulas at lower cost.

No published pricing as of July 2026: liveflow.com/pricing states 'Pricing is tailored to what you need' with a Book-a-Demo CTA and feature list only (multi-entity consolidation, A/P & A/R reporting, budgeting & forecasting). The historic $660/$1,500 tiers are gone. Third-party estimates: $200-500+/mo multi-entity, $500-1,500+/mo enterprise.

Ranges marked “analyst estimate” are triangulated from buyer interviews, marketplace data, and partner-reported deals — not vendor list prices. Never negotiate off a single number.

Signature features

Real-time currency translation

Handles FX gain/loss, translation reserves, and remeasurement, with support for different FX rates by transaction type and period. Baked into the templates, not bolted on. Essential for any business with international operations.

Audit trail and change tracking

All consolidation adjustments are logged with user, timestamp, and reason. Sheets' version history provides a full audit trail. This is critical for compliance and month-end sign-off, and it is rarely implemented well in homegrown consolidation Excel.

Automated intercompany eliminations

Matches invoices, POs, and GL accounts across entities and auto-eliminates offsetting balances. This is the #1 source of month-end pain for multi-entity operators; LiveFlow reduces that from 8 hours to 30 minutes per close.

100 pre-built consolidation templates

Covers multi-entity P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and statutory close structures. Templates are not just visuals; they encode intercompany matching rules, elimination logic, and variance calculations. A new client can select a template and have 80% of their consolidation structure mapped within an hour.

Variance analysis and reporting in Sheets

Client can build custom P&L variance dashboards, bridge analyses, and board-ready reports directly in Sheets without touching the raw GL. Reporting is not LiveFlow's innovation (Sheets itself is the BI engine), but the templates and automated GL integration make this vastly easier than building it from scratch.

Live GL sync from QuickBooksXero to Google Sheets

Data refreshes hourly; no export-import cycles. Eliminates a major source of manual work and error for multi-entity businesses. This is table-stakes for the product and best-in-class for the SMB segment.
